Teaching English in Nepal

Samuel Osborn (2018: Kathmandu, Nepal) will work with Projects Abroad to rebuild infrastructure and support children after the 2015 earthquake destroyed schools and reduced safe learning spaces. As part of a construction team, he will lay foundations for new schools. He will also provide care for children ages 1–20 in Kathmandu and Chitwan, teaching personal hygiene, improving literacy, instructing English, and leading physical activities.

My name is Sam Osborn and I was established in 1994 in Grapevine, Texas.

I’ve been digging in the dirt and embarking on adventures since I could walk, and my love for creative outlets including music, painting, and creative writing have not ceased since the early 90’s.

I graduated from Belmont University in May 2017 with a B.B.A. double major in Entrepreneurship and Music Business, and I could not be more excited to live and work in Nepal.

I am always learning and always researching things I am not familiar with—and although it is sometimes comfortable to sit around and watch TV or read a book in silence—I would much rather always be placing myself outside my comfort zone.
