Zach is a recent graduate of Belmont University (August 2013), where he earned double major in Mathematics and Economics with a minor in Business. He was inspired travel to Asia after studying abroad at Oxford University and romping around Europe for 10 weeks his junior year.
Zach is deeply passionate about using the scientific method to examine everyday phenomena. Besides practicing meditation, which he sees partly as a tool for removing biases from our perception of physical, emotional, and social experiences, he has spent the last few years at Oxford and Belmont conducting economic research on income inequality.
After India, Zach hopes to attend an economics graduate school program to further his research. He anticipates that India will fuel both his interest in environmental economics and his practice of meditation–both passions he hopes will last a lifetime.
